Chipotle Orange Glaze Smoked Chicken Thighs
These Smoked chicken thighs are loaded with flavor and come out juicy and fall off the bone tender. This chipotle orange glaze adds a spicy and citrusy kick that will leave your guests asking for seconds. Chicken thighs are perfect on a pellet grill. Trim any excess skin from the chicken thighs.
Rub the thighs with the olive oil and season evenly with Dickey’s Poultry Rub. Allow to marinate while you prepare the smoker.
Heat your pellet smoker to 275˚ using a competition blend.
Place the chicken thighs on the smoker and cook for about 1.5 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165˚.
When the thighs are almost done, add a basting skillet to the smoker. Melt the butter and add the rest of the glaze ingredients and mix thoroughly. When fully mixed, gently glaze the outside of the chicken with the glaze before taking off the smoker.
